CLOSET OVERHAUL
Natalie was so much fun to work with. She called me in desperate need of a whole new wardrobe. Fed up with her post-children and pandemic attire, she had gotten rid of the majority of her clothes and was living in her athleisure. Most pressing was her work wardrobe since she is a high-powered broker in Denver and needed to look the part. We also focused on finding elevated everyday looks that she could dress up or down for mom duties or date nights.
Prior to shoppping, we worked together to define her personal style using a joint Pinterest board for inspiration, which can be described as chic, functional, and contemporary. Her ideal color palette consisted of black, navy, neutrals, and greens. We then set a clothing budget and a goal number of outfits for each needed wardrobe category (workwear, mom-on-the-go, and date nights).
I was able to source quite a few high-end, gently used pieces from designer consignment stores such as The Real Real for her workwear, as well as some great basics from thrift stores. We also mixed high and low brands for new items to stay within the budget. The work wardrobe styles back to her everyday pieces to create endless options.
When it came to closet organization, Natalie was splitting her wardrobe between two closets, which made it difficult to get dressed efficiently. We turned her smaller closet into her “staging” closet, which allowed her to plan her outfits out each week.
